Privacy Policy

1. Your Images Stay Private

GeoTagger Pro processes all images entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your photos are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We have zero access to your image files, their content, or their metadata. When you close or refresh the page, all image data is permanently removed from browser memory.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information required to operate the Service:

• Account information: Email address and hashed password when you create an account.
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We retain only the Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Usage data: Aggregate counts of images processed and Google Places searches used, for billing and quota purposes only.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To track usage against your plan limits
• To send password reset emails (via Resend)
• To communicate important service updates

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Google Maps & Places API: Map display and address search. Google's privacy policy applies to location searches you perform.
• Resend: Transactional emails (password reset only).
• Cloudflare: Hosting and CDN.

5. Cookies

We use a session token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Google Maps may set its own cookies as part of map functionality.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (email, usage records, subscription records) will be permanently removed within 30 days. Image data is never stored and requires no deletion.

7. Data Security

All connections to GeoTagger Pro are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage your account from the Account page, or contact us to request data deletion. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.

9. Children's Privacy

GeoTagger Pro is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
